Our first meeting of the season was held at the groomer shed with the club
providing food and beverages.
A survey from SkiDoo was handed out last season to the members to fill out and
the club received $390 for all the members that filled this out. Thanks to
everyone that participated.
The club also received a check for $581 for supplemental grooming.
Steve is going to put an ad on the AWSC website to try and find a smaller drag
that will be easier for the groomer to pull.
Nut orders were handed out. They are due back on October 22 and the will be
ready for pickup on November 11 at The Mootz’s. If anyone is interested in
selling they should contact Sue Mootz @ 697-2670. This is the clubs only fund
raiser and we raised over $4000 last year.
October 22nd has been set for the grass drags. It will be held at the Seiler
farm. More details will be discussed at the October meeting. Volunteers are
needed for set-up, food sales and tear down.
We discussed having some of our meetings at Murph’s on Swan lake if he plans
on staying open for the winter.
County map ads are due at the September county meeting. They are $75 for a
two year ad. The county is having a trail marking seminar at their September
22nd meeting at the Leeds Town Hall and everyone that helps mark trail is
asked to attend.
In purchasing the land behind Mike Muellers we inherited a piece of land by
Barb Broesch’s. This piece of land is in the middle of her property so it was
voted on to sell her the land for $1 with the stipulation she give us a
lifetime easement to allow our trail to always cross her land.
We discussed overhead doors for the shed and talked about purchasing some
tables to have at the shed for future meetings.
